Dear Parents and Guardians,
I am writing to remind you that beginning Monday, February 3, our school doors, including the front door, will be locked 15 minutes after the morning bell rings (locked at 8:15 a.m. daily). The doors will remain locked for the rest of the school day, including after school. All visitors, including Board staff, parents and guardians, will be required to buzz in and sign in at the main office.
- To access before and after care programs outside regular school hours, parents/guardians will need to enter the school through the daycare entrance doors only. We apologize for this inconvenience.
Please note that after 3:00 p.m. access to the daycare will only occur through the daycare entrance. Daycare Program staff will let you into the building to pick up your child(ren). Access to the school (through the daycare) is not permitted during the school day at any time. After school hours, daycare families may enter through the daycare doors to pick up child(ren) in after school programs up until 6:00 p.m. only.
- If you are dropping lunch off for your child, you will need to buzz into the school. To ensure minimal disruption to office staff, we would request that you come no earlier than 10 minutes prior to the start of lunch (beginning at 11:40 a.m.)
- End of the day pick up– We would ask that you wait for your child(ren) outside (at a designated waiting location at the end of the day when picking up your children.
Our school continues to be a safe place where we welcome and encourage parent and community member involvement. This additional step will enhance the measures we already have in place for student and staff safety, and ensure that all visitors sign in at the main office.
If you have any questions, please contact our main office at (905) 895-9466.
